Now, we've got 2 rubber plugs on each frame rail to remove. We're not going to be reusing the tow hooks or the hardware, so we can set those aside.

We've got 1 on the passenger side and 1 on the driver side. To begin our installation, we're going to get these 2 tow hooks removed. From the center of our hitch pinhole forward to the bumper, it's about 1/2 inch. From the ground to the inside top edge of the receiver tube opening, we've got about 14-3/4 of an inch. You definitely want to check out the owner's manual on the RX 350, see what its tow ratings are and then go off of whichever those numbers are the lowest. Now, it's not rated for use with weight distribution, so that's not going to be an option. That's the total weight of our trailer and anything that we we're to load up on it. It's going to give us a 3,500-pound gross trailer weight rating. The hitch itself is going to offer a 350-pound tongue weight rating, so it's the maximum downward force we can put here at our receiver tube opening. I think it's going to offer you the way the hitch comes out a little bit, if you needed it, even a little spot to step there maybe to get up to your roof rack or cargo that you might have on top of your vehicle, and they're plenty of large enough, shouldn't have any issues getting our chains connected. That's the only time you're going to use this rear-most hole. One of those accessories is the J-pin stabilization system. Want to use class III rated accessories and you can see there's going to be plenty of room there for those. Now, to secure all of your items, you'll want to use this forward-most hole, the one closed to the front of the vehicle. You can see the reinforcement collar here on the end. That's a Class III rated hitch, which means you're going to have tons of accessories available for it, whether it's going to be ball mounts for towing, bike racks, cargo carriers.
